This 3-part subject taster will give you fantastic insight into what it’s like to study Philosophy at University.

In Day 1, we provide an overview of Philosophy degrees, including how they’re taught, examples of the topics you may study (“modules”), and videos of campus tours at multiple universities.

In Day 2, we examine the Trolley Problem (one of the most famous ethical dilemmas in modern philosophy), as well as look at the real-world implications of our answers to this problem.

Day 3 asks the question, “Are our emotional responses to fiction real?”, and encourages the student to analyse and critique the arguments presented, in order to understand what makes a strong philosophical argument.

This subject taster will be beneficial not only those who are interested in Philosophy, but also to students who enjoy Psychology, Sociology, Politics, Economics, English Literature, Film/Media and more.

This Subject Taster takes place on online through Showbie meaning you can access it at any time to complete at your own pace.
