TUESDAY 23 – THURSDAY 25 March 2021
Sessions take place, online, between 4.00pm and 7.15pm. Most sessions are 45 minutes and you can choose to attend one or more sessions.

This year, DE:CONSTRUCT will explore the theme of ‘Raising Your Voice' - discovering how our voices can be amplified or suppressed, and how we can create a platform for our voices to be heard. The sessions are designed for Year 12, Year 13 or mature students.

Keynote speaker: Yomi Adegoke
Yomi Adegoke is an award-winning British journalist, podcaster and co-author of the 2018 book 'Slay in Your Lane.' Yomi was born in Canning Town, East London, and raised in Croydon. 'Slay in Your Lane' has been described as a 'guide to life for a generation of black women.' Yomi currently writes for: The Guardian; I newspaper and British Vogue.

Session speakers
The festival programme includes sessions and workshops led by Shout Out UK; Greenpeace; Turner Contemporary Gallery; Young Mayor of Lewisham team; a Fashion and History Curator; EcoActive; Laura Coryton and Goldsmiths Centre for Contemporary Arts.

There will also be sessions from academic departments at Goldsmiths including: Anthropology; Law; Media, Communications and Cultural Studies; Politics and International Relations; Psychology, Sociology and Theatre and Performance.
