Full event details

Yvette Marks will deliver a taster lecture on: 'A slice of life: Reconstructing Roman bread production in South Yorkshire': This talk explores the experimental archaeology that Yvette and our students have been doing using Roman bread making practices and reconstructed Roman bread ovens based on examples discovered during excavations in South Yorkshire.

Then Kevin Kuykendall will talk about his research into early hominin species, including the evidence for Neanderthals at the site of Creswell Crags in nearby Derbyshire.
