If you think about what we are made up from - body, mind, and spirit, we are a complex mechanism. Then add to that all the influences on the environment both internal, within us and external to us. In 1995 one of our brilliant occupational therapy theorists, Ann Wilcox, provided us with the theory of 'Doing, Being and Belonging'. This theory manages to capture, neatly, an understanding of the complex human - what we need to do to feel and act like we are occupational beings who belong to society.
Joining this masterclass will give you good foundation knowledge of this hugely important theory used very commonly in occupational therapy practice. This knowledge will help you further realise the quality of our profession and the great value it brings to society and humans who need to engage in occupations within it, to be healthy.
