Events management contributes significantly to the UK economy and is the 16th largest industry in the UK making it a desirable sector to be part of.
The industry is diverse, from planning weddings with 250 guests to small business conference with six delegates. Events managers are resourceful, resilient and have an extensive support network.
Delivered by lecturer in tourism and events management, Dr Jakia Rajoana, this session:
> identifies the importance of the UK events sector and how this impacts the economy
>explores the appeal and diversity of events, the needs of clients and their briefs
>plans a small-scale event and measures it's success
>explores career opportunities in the events management sector
