Investigating paranormal beliefs and telepathy
This session supports student learning in AQA A level Research Methods.
Specific areas covered are self-report techniques (questionnaires), collection of behavioural data and correlational analysis.

Psychology of ghosts
In all human cultures people have believed in ghosts or spirits and hunting them has become a popular pastime for many. We look at how hunting for ghosts and ideas about them differ from scientific theories. By doing this we can explore concepts of falsifiability and validity through examination of theories of ghosts and the ways people try to measure haunting phenomena.

Ethical issues in psychology
The session supports learning in A level issues and debates in psychology, focussing on ethical implications of psychological research, including the ways in which ethical guidelines have evolved (and the importance of adhering to these guidelines), informed consent, the ethics of scaring participants and debriefing.

Due to limited places booking is essential for this on campus event and all students must book individually to secure their place.

If you are a tutor please contact Lee Musson if you have further questions.
