So called 'green (and blue) exercise' - including cycling, walking, gardening, and open water swimming - has a range of underpinning theoretical explanations for its efficacy. These typically relate to both stress reduction and attention restoration.

This workshop explores what we mean by 'nature' and 'nature-based activities', the value of green exercise and tailored 'green care' health interventions, considers underpinning theory, and discusses whether the impacts can be more than just individually oriented.

This session will last around 60 minutes, with plenty of time for audience questions.
