The event will be held at our city campus (further details to follow) and will include a tour of our new £5 million Screen School, a dynamic and industry-led space designed for screen based media courses.

Delegates will join academics on a tour of the facilities and find out about the creative industries sector and how our courses are committed to upskilling a new and diverse workforce in an industry where there is a shortage of graduate skills locally and regionally. There will also be an update on the university transformation programme and how we are ensuring we best support our students, partners and wider communities.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided. We will also reimburse the cost of travel to and from the event for all delegates.

Registration and refreshments: 09.30 - 10.00

Welcome and housekeeping: 10:00 - 10.15

The University of Wolverhampton Transformation Project: 10.15 -10.45

Tim Steele, Pro-Vice Chancellor Global Opportunities, will provide an overview of the University of Wolverhampton Transformation Programme. This will focus on the changes to our school structure and course portfolio and future developments to ensure the sustainability and growth of our university to enable us to support our students, wider communities and partners in the best possible way

Refreshments and networking: 10:45 - 11:00

Market and Sector Insights in HE: 11.00 -11.45

A session on the current trends within the HE and wider education sector, delivered by SMRS (Marketing Consultancy). This will talk through the changes in course portfolio across the sector and the ever changing job market and ensuring graduates are best placed to meet these skill gaps

Lunch:12.00 - 13.00

Subject Focus 1: Careers in the Creative Industries: 13.00 - 14.30

Join academics within our School of Art and Screen School. We will provide an update on the changes to the school and courses as part of the transformation programme and how we aim to upskill students in an industry with a shortage of graduate skills regionally and nationally.

This will include a tour of our £5 million Screen School and where you will see first hand the dynamic industry-linked space to promote, develop, produce content designed for screen based media
