Even within the five main areas outlined above, there is a variety of courses on offer at university and Sarah goes into detail about the types of courses you can study within each area.
She goes on to explain what the course modules include, the types of courses that give you the chance to specialise and what these courses are like to study on a day-to-day basis.
Land-based courses are often vocational, including work placements and practical elements which gives you the opportunity to gain valuable work experience. Sarah explains the varied styles of teaching ranging from lectures to lab projects and the different ways you are assessed.
