Kiran talks about the process of applying for universities on UCAS. She looks at the different sections you will have to complete and how many courses you can apply for.
The requirements for each course will vary but generally universities are looking for a strong academic profile, key skills and knowledge of your chosen subject, explains Kiran.
One of the main parts of the application is your personal statement which allows admission tutors to learn more about you as a student, and why you have applied for that course. Kiran talks about the word limit to a personal statement and why it is important to be analytical and not descriptive. She goes on to look at how you should structure your personal statement and how to demonstrate your enthusiasm for the course. Finally, Kiran speaks about what to avoid in your personal statement, what to do before submitting your application and the UCAS application fee.
