This session enables teachers and advisers to effectively support students in writing their UCAS personal statement. The session explores some the basics of structuring statements and makes use of academic research, carried out to establish the characteristics of the most successful statements, to guide participants in their thinking. Participants also learn how personal statements are used by universities in the decision-making process.
