Full event details

This masterclass will provide a number of interactive activities designed to introduce students to the subject of genetics and food security. For example, students will have the opportunity to extract DNA from a strawberry, learn about DNA gel electrophoresis, explore the importance of mutation in Natural Variation, and study chromosomes in mitosis and meiosis before discussing their importance.

School bookings only for Years 10 and 11. Schools will be limited to 5 places for this class. Individual bookings can be made by students in Year 12 or 13.
