Full event details

This masterclass is designed to help students understand how politics within countries and between countries are inter-related. The class will use the example of an international negotiation, and include a simulation in which students will be given roles (e.g. foreign secretary, chief negotiator, lobbyist) and play out a negotiation scenario. As such, the class will be highly interactive. Students will first be introduced to some relevant concepts around negotiations via a mini-lecture. They will then be given concrete tasks within the simulation exercise, with a debrief at the end, linking the process to the concepts covered at the beginning of the class.

Schools will be limited to 5 places for this class. Individual bookings can be made by students in Year 12.
