Session time: 14.00-15.00, Wednesday 25 May

UEA talk:
Radio Audiences and Interactivity - Before we can create content for media audiences we need to understand them and their needs. To serve those audiences we need to understand who they are and what they are interested in. In this session we will learn about different UK radio audiences, and we’ll come up with ideas for factual programmes. We’ll also look at how audiences interact with programme producers to co-create content and build a sense of ownership, identity and affinity.

This session will also include a talk from the University of Surrey, looking at fandom.

Our events are designed so that a group of students can take part from a classroom or students and teachers can take part as individuals, either from school or from home.
