International Relations and Popular Culture? Isn’t international politics all about states and war? This is part of it, but establishing peace requires all our efforts and intellectual stimulation. Ideas about rethinking peace aren’t only to be found in the wise words of dead white men, but also in the humble comic book. In fact, as you will see in this session, popular culture in general and comics in particular play a crucial role in how we imagine peace.
