UCL's Film and Media Saturday Club will run every Saturday morning during term time from 10am-1pm at East London Arts and Music (ELAM) from September 2022 to May 2023.
This is an exciting opportunity for students in Years 9 and 10 to learn how to make films and design games. You will develop practical and technical skills from production and sound design, to VFX and animation.
Using cutting edge software and quality equipment, you'll be taught by specialist tutors from UCL and ELAM and supported current university students. East London Arts and Music is located in Bromley-by-Bow.
You will gain lots of transferable skills, such as problem-solving, time planning, and learning the importance of working in a team. You will also be introduced to the many opportunities available across the creative industries as well as learning what it would be like to study creative subjects in sixth form and at university.
The club is one of the National Saturday Clubs. Club members will also take part in national events including a masterclass with an industry professional and the Summer Show, where Saturday Clubs nationwide exhibit their work in a public exhibition.
Applications are ongoing for students who are in Year 9 and 10. You should also be living and/or going to school in the London boroughs of Newham, Hackney, Tower Hamlets or Waltham Forest. Please sign up via this short form -
