Fake History: Interpreting the Past

Francis Close Campus, Cheltenham / in school or college

Can we class Netflix's The Crown as fiction? Why would Henry VIII add his third wife into official paintings while married to his sixth wife? Throughout history, many writers, painters, photographers and playwrights have changed or distorted history...but why? Students will analyse and discuss the reasons why sources may have been edited and how they could still be useful to us as historians.

Introduction to Law

Oxstalls Campus, Gloucester

From mock parliamentary debates to mini mooting sessions, our expert staff are on hand to give your students a taste of studying Law at A level, university and beyond. No previous experience is required and with topics like cannibalism, things are bound to get heated.

Other workshops may be available on request and can be paired with other course areas such as Creative Writing, Education or Politics. Taster days also include a campus tour and Q&A with current students.
