Event itinerary
Students will meet a wide range of UWE Bristol service teams such as Disability Support, Student Money and UWE Cares (for young carers, care leavers and estranged students), to learn about the support they provide. There will also be an opportunity to take a small group tour of the campus and meet current students.

The event will not include any course-specific content. It can be attended by those interested in any of our courses at our Frenchay, City and Glenside campuses.

Who is it for?
In line with our commitment to increasing access to Higher Education for young people from underrepresented backgrounds, we particularly welcome students from the groups below:
Students living in low participation neighbourhoods (e.g., POLAR quintiles 1 or 2. The OfS postcode checker can be used to identify students)
Students who live in areas of high deprivation
Students with disabilities, learning differences or who are neurodivergent
Carers, care leavers or students estranged from their families
Students from Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller Communities
Students who are first in their family to experience Higher Education (neither parent has been in HE)
Students from military families
Refugees

In addition to these groups, those who would benefit from this smaller scale event to gain insight into UWE Bristol are also invited to attend. This could include students with anxiety or other mental health challenges, who may find a larger scale event overwhelming.
