Half Day
All humans use language, and it reflects the society we live in. During this taster day you will creatively examine the practical applications of this science - how it can improve communication (both locally and internationally), treat speech disorders, support legal processes, influence the teaching of languages and raise literacy. You will also get the chance to experience what it’s like to study English Language and Linguistics at University level.
The day will be led by our English Language and Linguistics team and current students, you will have the opportunity to speak to the lecturers about what varied career paths and opportunities this degree can lead to. It's free to attend and lunch will be provided.
