Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA) Information Sessions

Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA) information sessions that will be delivered virtually on TEAMS. They are 2pm to 3pm and 6pm to 7pm. Attendees only need to attend one.

Sessions are aimed at year 12, year 13 and 1st year Level 3 students considering becoming a police office, their parents/carers and school support staff. The sessions will include:

• The application process
• Police representatives from multiple forces to answer questions about careers as a police officer
• A degree apprentice's journey - what it is like to be a student officer moving between the classroom and the beat
• Q&A

ARU are proud to be working with eight police forces across the East, South East of England and London to recruit and educate new police officers through two new entry routes into policing. These are:

• Bedfordshire Constabulary
• Cambridgeshire Constabulary
• Essex Police
• Hertfordshire Constabulary
• Kent Police
• London Metropolitan Police
• Norfolk Constabulary
• Suffolk Constabulary

The Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship is part of the new Policing Education Qualifications Framework (PEQF), which aims to further professionalise policing as a career by raising educational standards.
