Year 12 and 13 students

The right information and advice at the right time can be of great benefit to Year 12 and Year 13 students faced with major decisions about their future. We can deliver a range of talks on topics including:

  • Year 12 Induction: How to make the most of Year 12
  • The benefits of going to university
  • Choosing courses and universities
  • The UCAS process
  • Tips for personal statements
  • Student finance and tips for budgeting
  • Making the most of university open days
  • Student life (with input from a current Birmingham student)
  • University of Birmingham and our courses
  • Information on our Year 12 and 13 outreach programmes

 GCSE students

Presentations to these year groups focus on increasing awareness of what higher education has to offer, helping those intending to go to university to understand requirements at GCSE level, and advising them on choices regarding their post-16 education. We can provide talks to students on the following topics:
