The key university facts introductory workshop for Year 9 students

The session includes an introduction to university courses nationally, why students may wish to consider university, personal statements, the UCAS application process and student fees and finance. You may think it is too early for a session like this - we guarantee it isn't!

Where booked for smaller groups, the content includes relevant and interactive games and group exercises using interactive clickers (with prizes)!

The sessions can be fully evaluated. This data can be used as an evidence base in terms of the impact of this intervention for school improvement purposes and Ofsted inspections.

A press release can also be sent to the local press after each session, so schools potentially benefit from great publicity as well

Duration: to suit (generally 45 minutes or 1 hour)

Who will deliver the sessions?
All sessions will be facilitated by Jon Cheek, the Founder and Director of UniTasterDays Ltd. Jon has spent a career working in higher education, working with schools throughout the UK. He has worked for three Midlands universities and also sat as an Executive Director of the Higher Education External Relations Association.
