We offer groups of pupils, accompanied by their teachers, a motivating introduction to university, designed to address the specific challenges facing their particular Year Group.
Visit UCL Days are fun, interactive visits to UCL, where students will have the chance to explore our campus, take part in exciting interactive sessions and find out exactly what it's like to study at one of the world's top universities.
Pupils will take part in interactive activities, a tour of the UCL campus led by current students, and an educational quiz about different aspects of university. Events are free to attend, and a packed lunch will be provided for school staff and pupils.
There will be a dedicated day for each year group with multiple schools taking part in the same day, starting with a Visit UCL Day for year 11 in March 2023. Visit UCL Days for years 7-10 will take place during the summer term.
Places are limited and, as Visit UCL is an Access and Widening Participation initiative, we will prioritise schools who have a high number of students who meet our widening participation criteria (
https://www.ucl.ac.uk/widening-participation/who-we-work). We encourage schools to select students who they feel may benefit the most from the visit, by considering factors such as free school meal eligibility and potential to attend university.
