Full event details

Cryptocurrencies are a relatively new phenomenon that has taken the world by storm. They can be defined as digital or virtual assets that can be traded and used to pay for goods and services. In 2017, there were 2,000 cryptocurrencies, but now there are more than 8,000 with a market capitalization of US$1.6 trillion. There are more than 400 crypto exchanges where these can be traded.

Are cryptocurrencies an investment or a gamble? This session examines the different classes of cryptocurrencies, their benefits, as well as the risks involved. You will have the opportunity to talk to current students studying related subjects. You can choose to come to our campus or have our colleagues visit your school. If you come to our campus, there will be an option for a campus tour so that students can see first-hand our facilities including one of the biggest academic trading floors in Europe

This session is two hours long if you visit Coventry campus or one hour if we visit you.
