AEROSPACE ENGINEERING AT CITY

An Aerospace Engineering degree equips students with skills in design, construction, analysis and testing of aerospace systems. As an aerospace engineer, you will be a pillar of scientific and technical knowledge in air transport, defence and space, the UK's fastest growing engineering sectors.

Our Engineering department run a variety of sessions available for schools and colleges, including talks on what it is like to study Engineering at university and taster lectures to give students a feel for university level study in the subject.

ACTIVITY DETAILS:

We run the following session types:

• TASTER SESSION: We run interactive taster sessions that introduce students to studying Engineering at university level. Sessions run at our campus are usually delivered in our Engineering labs, but we can also adapt some of our taster sessions to be delivered in your classroom.
• WHY STUDY TALK: We can run a session which introduces the subject of aerospace engineering, what it's like to study this subject at university, and different career paths in this field

  WHO CAN BOOK THESE EVENTS

This event is only for teachers making bookings for their school groups.
These workshops are only suitable for year 12 and 13 (pre UCAS deadline) students.

Sessions typically last 1 hour - 1.5 hours depending on the activity.

HOW TO BOOK A VISIT TO CITY ST GEORGE'S

Visits to City St George's including department sessions usually last a half day. We usually include a why study talk, a taster session and a campus tour.

HOW MUCH DO THESE ACTIVITIES COST

• All of our activities are free!
• However we unfortunately cannot cover transport or food costs for school groups if you're visiting our Clerkenwell campus. 

All activities are subject to availability of our staff. Whilst we do our best to accommodate requests, we reserve the right to decline bookings if we do not have capacity to deliver them.
