The Electronic Engineering department is hosting a day-long event aimed at inspiring the next generation of female engineers.  Since its founding, Royal Holloway, University of London has had a long history in women’s education. The Department of Electronic Engineering is proud to continue this tradition and give to as many women as possible the opportunity to make a difference through engineering.


 


Girls into Electronics is a series of non-residential events that are being hosted by leading universities across the UK this summer, including Royal Holloway, University of London. The events are ideal for girls in Year 11, 12 or 13, thinking about studying Electronics, Computer Science or Engineering. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. 


 


You will get the chance to


·       Enjoy hands-on activities including an introduction to microcontrollers.


·       Get inspiration by chatting to female staff and students at the university, and to female graduates working in the Electronics industry.


·       Have a tour of the facilities at the Electronic Engineering Department.


·       Take home the microcontroller kit and get on-line support to complete a range of practical experiments.
