Full event details

Our Primary Explorer sessions are suitable for primary age students and last between 60-120 minutes. The following sessions are available:

  • Roman Archaeology - Follow our journey through Roman Archaeology. Learn what Archaeology is, enjoy activities and complete your very own investigation. Students can learn about Roman religion, geography and even a bit of Latin.
  • Bog Bodies - This exciting session gives an interactive look at Iron Age Bog Bodies. Students explore what archaeology and bog bodies are before getting to create their own!
  • Flags of the World - This primary session focuses on the variety of flags across the world and what they represent for different cultures. Students also get to take part in a fun activity and design their own flag.

Please note that our Pre-16 workshops are only available for schools in the North East of England.

Sessions across the area of Humanities and Social Sciences are available for Year 10-Year 13 students in the following areas:
