UCL School Visit for Year 12s: Exploring Higher Education Choices

The Exploring Higher Education Choices Campus Visit will support your students to consider pathways to university, raise your students’ awareness of course choices, and talk them through what life as a university student could look like for them outside of their degree programme.

This visit aims to:

Increase students' confidence in making informed decisions about accessing higher education.
Increase students' knowledge about finding support and overcoming barriers associated with higher education.
Encourage students to feel that they will 'fit in' at university.

A typical Exploring Higher Edcuation Choices visit will cover the following:

• Introduction to higher education session (choosing your course and university).
• UCL campus tour (with student ambassadors).
• Student journeys (presentations by student ambassadors). These presentations will consider overcoming barriers to HE and navigating life as a university student.
• Exploring student life: societies, sports, wellbeing services and life on campus
