Leading researchers from Heriot-Watt University will be introducing their latest research to the next generation of scientists, engineers and entrepreneurs at our Open Days on Saturday 28th September and Saturday 26th October 2024. 

Why do people make mistakes? How can we make good decisions when faced with an overwhelming amount of information to process? Dr Dan Hale, Associate Professor in Psychology at Heriot-Watt University, will explore some of the latest research in cognitive bias, correlation and causation. Discover why a judgement based on partial information is subject to error which has implications for psychology, but also life!
