Join us for this interactive event, where you will explore the importance of books and reading for pleasure and will consider how texts work, as well as the role of storytelling in children’s lives.

Students will have the opportunity to take part in two insightful workshops and discover a deeper understanding of techniques and strategies used to help engage and educate children across a wide age group, often with conflicting educational needs.

Students will be able to identify learning practices in school and how these fit within different curriculum models and reflect different learning theories. Examine key traditional and contemporary theories of child development and the historical, social and cultural issues that impact children's development and needs.

This event is for Year 12 and Year 13 students or anyone considering studying Primary Education, Education Studies, or Childhood Studies at university level.

We are accepting both group bookings from teachers as well as individual bookings from students/enquirers.
