Our Future Journalism Stars competition is back for your students to show us their reporting credentials.
Thursday 14th November, 11am - 3pm
Do your students dream of covering top sporting events, reporting on the latest looks at London Fashion Week, or giving their take on today’s issues? Then this competition could be the first step on the road to their dream job.
How it works
Our Future Journalism Stars competition gives students the chance to showcase their reporting skills through a range of mediums including a blog or website, short-form content such as social media posts, and radio or podcasting content.
Join us at our launch event to explore our facilities, including our radio and TV studios, on-campus cinema, and buzzing newsroom. We’ll also share our top tips and dos and don’ts for crafting excellent content.
Students will be inspired to create their own work and submit it to the competition, flexing their journalistic skills for the chance to win.
We accept solo or group submissions.
Prizes
- A day in our mediaHUB, experiencing the fast-paced, creative environment of a working newsroom
- Expert one-to-one advice from real-life journalists and lecturers
- Their work being published on our dedicated mediaHUB website
What this means for your students
Taking part in our Future Journalism Stars competition gives students a head start in their study of journalism, social media management, and content creation. It gives them an insight into university life and the areas they would be studying if they pursue these courses.
It’s also a great experience to add to their UCAS applications and CVs when applying to university and seeking employment.
The competition closes on 14th February when the winner will be announced.
Winners and runners-up will be invited to spend a day in the mediaHUB.
