Ahead of our annual Teachers' and Advisers' Conference, we’re offering a series of webinars designed to help teachers, advisers, and counsellors learn more about our academic departments at The University of Essex. These sessions will also provide valuable insights into supporting students throughout their higher education journey.

Our Upcoming Sessions

• Building resilience in students
  Tuesday 19 November (15.45pm - 16.45pm) Join us for this insightful session as we explore the factors contributing to a lack of educational resilience in students and examine effective classroom strategies to help foster and build resilience. This session will be delivered by Dr. Raynee Gutting from our Essex Pathways Department.

 

• What is a foundation year  
  Wednesday 4 December (16.00pm - 17.00pm) As the UCAS deadline approaches, some students may feel uncertain about their ability to pursue university. This session provides an overview of the foundation year as an alternative route to undergraduate study, equipping you with the knowledge to guide students who may not be ready to apply directly for Year 1 entry. The session will be led by Lecturer Amanda Morris from our Essex Pathways Department.
