Learning Disability Nursing Taster Day

The Nursing (Learning Disability) course at Winchester enables students to develop and display the values required in modern healthcare: working with patients, respecting dignity, commitment to quality of care, compassion, and improving lives. It also addresses contemporary challenges such as the ageing population, increasingly prevalent long-term health conditions and public health.

This will involve: 

• Learning about the role of a Learning Disability nurse from passionate enthusiastic students.
• Gaining insight into your potential journey throughout the course and the vast array of career opportunities.
• Opportunities to see where you will have sessions and explore some of the skills needed.
• What's needed to apply for the course. 

The day will introduce the Learning Disability Nursing Programme, the opportunity to meet our current students, and a tour of the facilities. There will also be advice to support the application process and attend light learning. Lunch will be provided and travel expenses can be covered by the University of Winchester, if required.
