Mathematics- Paradoxes

Thursday 31st October 6:00-7:00pm on Zoom

Suitable for students currently in years 12-13

Paradoxes are more than simple forms of self-contradiction. Mathematics can help us analyse not just how paradoxes are self-contradictory, but also why they are. Using expectation and probability, we will examine three different paradoxes to see not only how they are self-contradictory, but also why. Be warned, demonstrations in this talk may have the potential to destroy friendships, so join at your own risk.
