University event offered by University of Sunderland
Full Day
Wednesday 4th December, 10am - 3:30pm
The job of a psychologist is to study a person's mind and behaviour – but how do they do this?
This event is suitable for Year 12 and Year 13 students. Through a lecture and range of workshops, our experts will share the methods psychologists use to improve their knowledge and understanding of how and why we think and behave.
The lecture will introduce students to psychological research methods and considerations when selecting a tool to address a particular research question. The ethics involved in using these research methods is fundamentally important and will be a component of the discussion.
Students will then take part in three carousel workshops, which will allow them to get hands-on with some of these psychological research methods:
The sessions will be delivered by our expert academics who all have their own specialist areas and passions.
