We are now offering Masterclasses from our School of English within the area of Language, Linguistics and TESOL. These workshops can be delivered at your school or college. These Masterclasses give students the chance to find out more about our courses as well as what studying with us is like.

Full event details

This masterclass focuses on the benefits of using approaches from Corpus Linguistics in studying language. You will look at different tools of corpus-based analysis and do a practical activity on understanding the meaning of words based on the patterns of their use in different contexts.

This class runs between one to two hours. It is suitable for Year 12 and Year 13 students who are interested in English Language, Linguistics and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, but also subjects such as Social Work, Psychology and Education.
