In this taster day you will interactively explore what it's like to study a Social & Political Science course at University.
Join us for an exciting taster day where you'll engage with the dynamic worlds of Politics, International Relations, and Sociology. This unique event offers you the chance to experience what it's like to study these fascinating subjects at NTU.
Use your sociological imagination to creatively explore a wide range of issues. Spend time with the Sociology team at NTU questioning the often taken-for-granted nature of the world around you. Examine the link between familiar and everyday objects with the big societal issues of identity, culture, and globalisation. Engage in discussions and debates on contemporary social and criminal justice issues, and learn in an interactive space where even simple questions can lead to many different answers.
After lunch take part in a Politics and International Relations session. Power is an essential aspect of any human relationship. Understand it, and you'll understand your own world; know its rules, and you can start to play the game on your own terms. You'll discuss the latest political issues at the top of the national and international agenda. Discover the versatile and universally respected degrees that have led our graduates to become MPs, sustainability campaigners, motivational speakers, community leaders, and successful entrepreneurs.
You'll also have the chance to tour amazing libraries and students' union, meet current students, and find out more about life at NTU.
