University event offered by York St John University
Short Session
About the event:
The event is an ideal opportunity for Year 12 students researching their options and exploring what it's like to study at university level. It is also a great opportunity for Year 13 students who have not yet applied to university and mature students who are considering returning to learning. Unlike an Open Day, the whole Subject Showcase Day will be full of taster sessions for our subjects. Each session will last 1 hour, and students can attend several sessions. It's a great opportunity for students to explore what they might like to study at university.
Session D: 2.15 - 3.15pm
Occupational Therapy: Imagine not being able to do the thing you love most due to a change in your health well-being or circumstances.
Occupational therapists are innovative and creative thinkers who like problem solving and helping people get the most out of life. They work with people of all ages as individuals, groups and communities to overcome challenges they face doing everyday tasks (occupations) and activities they like or need to do to improve overall health well-being. This is an opportunity to learn more about this exciting profession and the importance of engaging in occupations through doing.
