University event offered by University of Birmingham
Short Session Minimum students: 1
Ancient Greece and Rome may have existed more than 2,000 years ago, but their influence on modern Britain continues to be felt. In this class, students will be introduced to a variety of ways that these ancient civilisations remain influential on our daily lives. From the languages we speak, the stories we read and watch, the food we eat, the roads we travel, and even the cities we live in. This class encourages students to consider the intersection between the ancient and contemporary worlds, and the ways that these ancient peoples continue to shape our lives.
This Masterclass is for students in Years 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12. It is open for students studying any subject and will particularly appeal to those studying Ancient History, Classical Civilisation and/ or Classics.
