Full event details

This Adult Nursing taster session will take place at our Clinical Skills Centre at Sam Fox House, Northern General Hospital, which includes mock clinical wards, resuscitation suites, simulated theatres and teaching rooms.

We'll begin with a short theory session, to prepare you before the practical activities begin. Once you're ready, we will be taking a patient's Vital Signs Observations including pulse, temperature, oxygen saturations, blood pressure and respiratory rate, while documenting these details.

You'll then have the chance to try your hand at simulated wound care, removing stitch staples and chest auscultations with our simulated dummy.

We'll then debrief and evaluate the clinical procedures and finish the session with a Q&A with academic staff and current students.
