Full event details

Our programme of Information, Advice and Guidance talks and workshops can be delivered at your school as a stand-alone talk/workshop or as part of a series of events hosted by your school. We are happy to visit your institution free of charge and can deliver presentations and interactive workshops for students in different year groups.

Key Stage Three: Introduction to University
An interactive talk or workshop to introduce students to Higher Education and aspects of university life. During this session we discuss the practicalities of going to university, such as student finance and accommodation, and encourage students to start thinking about their own future goals and how they can achieve these.
Talk: 45 minutes
Workshop: 1 hour 30 minutes

Key Stage Three: Education Pathways, GCSEs and Beyond
These talks and workshops will provide students with important information about the structure of GCSEs. It will help students understand how GCSEs link to their future goals, including Higher Education and their career, and give them an opportunity to reflect on their own strengths and ideal GCSE choices.
Talk: 45 minutes
Workshop: 1 hour 30 minutes

Key Stage Four: Going to University
A talk designed to introduce students to Higher Education and aspects of university life. During the session we go into detail about practicalities of university life, such as student finance and choosing the right course. Students will be given practical steps they can take now to start thinking about their future.
Talk: 45 minutes

Key Stage Four: Future Pathways, looking at Further Education choices
An interactive talk or workshop designed to show students the different options open to them in their Post-16 education. Students will explore these options and relate them to their Higher Education and career goals for the future.
Talk: 45 minutes
Workshop: 1 hour 30 minutes

Key Stage Four: Future Skills
This workshop provides students with some key skills to help in their school career and beyond. Skills looked at include: Study Skills, Presentation Skills and Employability Skills, such as writing applications and interviews.
