Short Session Delivered at your school/college
Climate change threatens the future of our planet and the wellbeing of our local societies. Smarter and more sustainable future mobility provision is a key component in addressing this issue. Transformative innovations like Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAVs), Mobility-as-a-Service, Electric Vehicles, Micromobility, Hyperloop, Personal Aerial Vehicles, still at an embryonic stage of their development and severely understudied, should go hand in hand with more classic measures in need of revitalization like Bike-sharing, Transit Oriented Development, Walking School Buses, Road Pricing, Parking Management in order to inspire genuine travel behavioural change. The Discover lecture provides a closer look to this exciting transition process.
The Discover Programme consists of subject-specific lectures and workshops aimed at Year 12 or Year 1 college students, delivered by academics that teach at the University.
These sessions are designed to both complement the curriculum and introduce new subject areas.
