Event Information
This is a free in-person CPD opportunity ideal for any teacher of GCSE English, Maths or Science, and is suitable for any head of department, teacher, or trainee teacher. Delivered on our Brayford Pool Campus, all sessions will be delivered by an experienced trainer from AQA who will help delegates understand how to embed exam technique and timings into their work amongst other practical support to increase student success.

The GCSE English session will cover both English Literature and Language and use exemplar responses from the summer exams to consider ways in which students attained a grade five.

The GCSE Maths session entitled 'Supporting Student Exam Preparation' will strengthen teacher confidence in supporting students preparing for exams by focusing on four or five key skill areas to maximise student success and achievement.

The GCSE Combined Science session will look at example responses from previous exams which will explain areas of improvement along with strengths. There will be opportunity for collaboration with other teachers, and delegates can gain insights and classroom strategies to support their future cohorts in their exams.
